Rosé wine works wonderfully in this fruity sangria recipe. We love a dry rosé because it balances out the sweetness of the fruit, but any rosé will work. The triple sec adds its distinctly citrus flavor and when combined with the fruit, makes the most delicate, juicy, and delicious drink. It’s so easy to make with just a few ingredients; stir together and that’s it! Like most sangrias, it’s best made ahead so the flavors have time to develop. Serve it chilled in a glass pitcher with an optional splash of sparkling water to give it a lively bubble. It won’t be long before you’ll be running back to the kitchen to mix up more! *Note: don’t let the rosé sangria sit in the fridge for longer than 4 hours or the fruit will start to change texture. It’s still safe to drink, but the fruit won’t taste as nice so you’ll want to strain the fruit. Quick Tip: blend the soft fruit and use it to make a fruity margarita!

Rosé wine – a dry rosé wine to help balance out the sweetness. Triple sec – adds its distinctly citrus-orange flavor. Fresh fruit – we went for orange, lemon, strawberries, and raspberries for their sweet and tart combination of flavors, but see our variation ideas below. Mint – adds a wonderful freshness.

If you have a glass pitcher, you’ll want to pull it out for this recipe. It’s too beautiful not to show off all the rosy-orange hues!

Switch up the berries – any seasonal berries like blueberries, blackberries, cranberries, or white raspberries will add their own unique flavor. Mix up the citrus – if blood oranges are available, they look incredible. Grapefruit and lime are also interesting variations. Try a different liqueur – you could use equal amounts of another orange flavored liqueur like grand marnier, cointreau, or curaçao. In a pinch, or for an hard alcohol-free option, you could use orange extract with some fresh orange zest. Try using basil – basil or thai basil would change the taste but is wonderful substitution for mint.

Or dress up your date night! Serve it with some easy olives marinated olives alongside perfectly cooked mussels or our easy but delicious pasta puttanesca.
