For more delicious raspberry cocktail recipes, try our raspberry martini, raspberry mimosa, or raspberry mojito jello shooters! There are a lot of raspberry margarita recipes out there, some using syrups, liqueurs, and margarita mixes. We keep our recipe simple with just fresh fruit, tequila, lime juice, and agave syrup. While you don’t need any fancy syrups or equipment, you will need a blender for this recipe. We start by dipping the rim of the glass in a 1:1 mixture of sea salt and sugar to give it a sweet and salty rim. The rim is optional, but it tastes delicious and adds a special element to the drink. You also can do a simple salt-only rim if you prefer. To make the raspberry margaritas, simply add all the ingredients to your blender and blend until smooth. Strain it, mix it with ice, then serve it garnished with more raspberries, lime slices, and mint. That’s it! You can certainly use frozen raspberries in a pinch, but we love to make this fruity cocktail in the summer when raspberries are ripe, juicy, and in-season. It’s a pretty cocktail for parties, special celebrations like Mother’s Day, birthdays, wedding showers, Valentine’s Day, or any occasion that calls for a fruity red-hued cocktail.

Raspberries – fresh, ripe raspberries give this classic cocktail its zingy berry flavor. We especially love making this recipe in the summer when raspberries are in season for maximum raspberry flavor. Tequila – we use a blanco tequila for this recipe (also known as silver tequila or white tequila) for its straight-foward flavor, but you can also use an aged reposado if you like more complexity. Lime juice – only fresh lime juice will do! Agave – for a bit of added sweetness. You can also use simple syrup instead. Raspberries, lime slices, and mint – to serve.

For the sweet and salty rim, you’ll also need some sea salt and granulated sugar. It’s optional, but totally delicious! Naturally, it’s one of those delicious recipes we make when raspberries are in-season in the summer, but it’s a bright tasty drink you can enjoy any time of year!
