Why are peaches with amaretto so tasty
Peaches and amaretto are the best of friends! The reason why these two ingredients make such good flavor companions is due to the way they complement each other. Amaretto is complex, nutty, and a bit sweet, and peaches have a distinct flavor – they are sweet, juicy, a little floral, and a bit tangy, too! The nuttiness and sweetness of the amaretto complements the natural sweetness and acidity of the peaches. Amaretto peaches make for a rich and flavorful pairing.
Amaretto peaches: Peaches, tapioca starch, and amaretto. The cobbler topping: Almond flour, tapioca starch, coconut sugar, baking powder, sea salt, vanilla, coconut oil, and slivered almonds.
We swap the traditional sugar for refined sugar-free coconut sugar. Then, instead of using oats, we use a mixture of almond flour, tapioca starch, and slivered almonds. This creates a cobbler topping similar to an almond cookie, with crispy edges and a soft, shortbread-like middle. It’s super delicious!
