Complete your meal with some easy guacamole, spicy Mexican rice, and a fizzy lime margarita.
You control the spices – and leave out any that you know you don’t like. And the heat level is up to you – like it spicy? Great, add more cayenne! Prefer it mild? No problem, omit the cayenne! The flavor of homemade fajita seasoning is so much nicer than store-bought. And you won’t find any preservatives, fillers, and hard to pronounce ingredients. We add a little good-quality sea salt (we like Himilayan salt!), but if reducing sodium is important to you then simply omit the salt.
That’s it. Making your own fajita seasoning is so easy!

Technically, spices never go “bad” and won’t be dangerous to use if you keep them around for a long time. But they will lose their potency. In chili. Try it in our favorite steak chili or easy vegetarian chili recipes. It’s delicious in both! Tacos. It’s especially good to flavor the meat in ground beef tacos. Baked chicken. We sometimes use this seasoning mix on our juicy baked chicken thighs or our perfect baked chicken breasts. Yum!
