Fresh Strawberry Juice

Store-bought juices are convenient, but oftentimes they are laden with added sugars and preservatives. Although I’ve been finding more and more no added sugar options. So I make fresh juices at home with whatever ingredients I happen to have at the time. It’s strawberry season, and they are so incredibly juicy and delicious right now. My kids and I have really been enjoying slurping on this refreshing drink! You can easily adjust the sweetness level, consistency, and even experiment with different flavor combinations by adding other fruits. Get ready to fall in love with the bright and bold flavors of this pure strawberry juice! And if you are looking for a frozen treat, you’ve got to try this 3 ingredient strawberry sorbet and strawberry popsicles!

Tips for Success

Add the strawberry tops! You can’t really taste them so why not benefit from the extra nutrients they provide such as vitamin C, folate, potassium, magnesium, and antioxidants. But of course, you can remove them if you prefer. The flavor of strawberries can vary greatly depending on their ripeness, variety, and how they’re grown. Therefore, if the juice is on the tart side, add some honey, maple syrup, or date syrup (a great no added sugar alternative). I suggest starting with 2 teaspoons and adding more as needed. Depending on your blender, you may need to strain the juice if you desire a perfectly smooth consistency. Add some ice cubes if you like your juice really chilled.

Variations and Add-Ins

If you’d like to invite more fun and variety, here are some ingredients that pair really well with strawberries. You can leave out the water if using any of these as they will provide extra liquid.

Equipment

You will need a high-speed blender to make this strawberry juice, or any juice for that matter. It is such a versatile kitchen tool that can help you prepare a wide range of recipes quickly and easily!

Cucumber Apple Watermelon Peaches Mangoes Pineapple Blueberries Orange

It’s perfect for smoothies, soup, sauces and dips, kid-friendly muffins, pancakes, and even frozen yogurt. And you won’t need a juicer to make your own fresh juices. My blender makes a smooth juice in a matter of minutes so there’s no need to strain either.

Storage

It is best to drink this strawberry drink immediately. But you can refrigerate for up to 2 days. Give it a good stir before slurping. You can also freeze in an ice cube tray and add to smoothies or oatmeal (can add straight from the freezer), or thaw and stir into yogurt. You can also turn them into popsicles! These popsicle molds are perfect for little hands.
