Add this chipotle mayo and curry dipping sauce to your sauce rotation, too! This dijonnaise recipe is similar to our mayo mustard sauce recipe. The difference is the type and quantity of the mustard used. This recipe uses dijon mustard and we use quite a bit more than in our mayo mustard sauce. Dijonnaise has a fancy-sounding name (pronounced: dee–shawn–aze) but is really made up of 2 main humble ingredients: dijon mustard and mayonnaise. And although dijon mustard originates in France, this sauce has made a name for itself all over the world. The spice from the dijon mustard is a perfect pair with the creamy tang from the mayo and makes for a great accompaniment for many dishes. In this homemade dijonnaise recipe, you combine equal parts mayo and mustard. We’ve added a touch of paprika for an extra little kick. That said, if you aren’t keen on spice, you can omit the paprika and even bring down the amount of dijon you add to the sauce. It takes 5 minutes to whip up and just 3 ingredients – it really is a no-brainer when it comes to taking your dish to the next level.
