While something this creamy and rich might seem like it takes hours to prepare, it’s actually super simple – it only takes 10 minutes of prep and a 20 minutes to cook. I’ll show you how to look like a total superstar… Or should I say, souperstar? No? I’ll stick to making soup, then. Here are my top three tips for chicken tomato soup:
Optional toppings: I like adding chili flakes, parmesan cheese, and fresh basil leaves on top. Parsley works well, too! Chicken coconut: Out of cream cheese? Use whipping cream instead. Veggie boost: Add some carrots and celery alongside the onions to boost the vegetable content. Any other veggies you’d like to throw in work well, too – mushrooms or peppers are complementary. Pasta: Orzo, rice, or a short pasta can make this chicken tomato soup more filling. Mediterranean twist: Add olives, capers, and a bit of feta. Croutons: Grilled cheese croutons make this extra fun!
