Big on Boursin? I get it! Make this Boursin chicken next.
Boursin cheese pasta ingredients
Even though Boursin cheese pasta isn’t a traditional or authentic Italian dish, it does nail one element of good Italian pastas: minimal ingredients, maximal flavor! You don’t need much to create this memorable dish – gather these items:
Short-shaped pasta: I love using bowtie pasta or fusilli pasta. Whipping cream: To make it extra creamy! If you swap for milk, add some flour to thicken it up. Boursin cheese: The star ingredient! You can use any Boursin, but my favorite for this pasta is the fine herbs and garlic flavor) Baby spinach: For a nutritious boost! Salt and pepper: To balance and enhance the flavors.
How to make Boursin cheese pasta
It’s super easy to whip this one up – are you ready for just HOW easy?! Follow these simple three steps:
Mediterranean vibes: Fold in some sundried tomatoes, olives, capers, and fresh basil. True to trend: The viral TikTok recipe includes baked cherry tomatoes. For the stovetop version, throw in a handful of grape tomatoes sliced in half. Mushrooms: Sauté sliced mushrooms in garlic and butter until they’re golden, then toss them in the mix, or make my miso mushrooms! Extra veggies: Add zucchini, shallots, bell peppers, peas, or asparagus for a bit of color. Spicy kick: A sprinkle of chili flakes will heat things up! Crunch: A handful of toasted pine nuts add a crunchy texture and nutty flavor. Protein: Some tender shrimp would be perfect in here! Or add some chicken or sausage for a hearty bite. Carbonara style: Crisp up some pancetta or speck, or stir some prosciutto into the pasta.
I love serving this pasta with Boursin cheese with my Italian seasoning chicken – I just slice it up and serve it on top – it’s so good! Don’t forget a crisp glass of white wine to finish things off!
