The one we use in this recipe is bold and beefy with a hearty kick of ginger and garlic. To make the stir fry sauce, you only need a few pantry ingredients. Start by dissolving the cornstarch with a splash of beef broth, then add in the other ingredients. To make the stir fry, cook the noodles until they’re al dente. Sear the beef until it browns, then cook the vegetables until they soften. Toss the beef, vegetables, and noodles together with the sauce and heat it until it thickens. Sprinkle on some sliced green onions and sesame seeds and serve. Ta-da! You can absolutely mix and match the ingredients in this stir fry to your taste, or use what you have on hand. It’s also easy to make gluten-free, and it’s not spicy so kids will love it. too. Olive oil – or any other neutral flavored oil will work. Ramen noodles – ramen noodles actually come fresh, dried, and fried. For this recipe, we used organic dry ramen noodles, but soup ramen noodles can also be used with the seasoning pack discarded. You can also use spaghetti or use rice noodles for gluten-free. Beef top sirloin – top sirloin is a naturally lean, thick cut of steak with lots of bold, beefy flavor. Vegetables – we use a mix of snap peas, mushrooms, carrots, red bell pepper, and onion. But feel free to use your own mix of quick-cooking vegetables. Green onions and sesame seeds – for garnish.

Cornstarch – gives thickness to the sauce. You can also use arrowroot starch if you prefer. Beef broth – beef broth has a dark brown color and prominent beef flavor making it a good choice for this robust stir fry. Soy sauce – soy sauce or tamari both work great for adding saltiness and rich umami flavor. Use gluten-free if necessary. Honey – adds sweetness and balances everything out. Toasted sesame oil – sesame oil adds a nutty, earthy Asian flavor to the sauce. Ginger + garlic – these common aromatics add a warming and comforting kick of flavor.
